2023 was definitely one for the books. And by that, I mean it was all about books! My year was defined by my love for reading, and I did a lot of it this year. From starting this blog to graduating with a degree in English, here is a recap of all the bookish things I did this year.
-
Started this blog!
-
After months of planning, debating, and second-guessing myself, I started The Library Mouse’s Book Nook! And I am so glad I did because I have been having an absolute blast.
-
-
Joined the Bookstagram community, and have been loving connecting with other bookish friends (hi Geena ILY) and receiving great book recs.
-
Went to the LA Times Festival of Books and got such a good haul.
-
Graduated with my BA in English.
-
Signed up for NetGalley and received ARCs (advanced reader copy).
-
Went to the OC Zine Fest in Anaheim for the first time and had an absolute blast.
-
Learned that in California all you need to get a library card is a valid form of ID, so I am now the proud owner of six library cards.
-
Bought a Kindle and my life has never been the same. I read on my Kindle using FREE books from the library. I would even say…I like it better than reading from physical books.
-
Visited the coolest independent bookstores, like The Tattered Cover in Denver and The Best Bookstore in Palm Springs, in, well, Palm Springs.
-
Attempted (and failed LOL) NaNoWriMo, but learned more about the craft of writing in the process.
-
Hit my reading goal of 55 books!
I have been having the absolute best time sharing my book reviews with you, and I can’t wait for more bookish adventures in 2024!
